I taught myself to draw with mehndi (Henna) firstly on myself, Amma, my sisters, and friends. Over the years, I added to my repertoire and turned it into a professional qualification as an Herbal Beauty Therapist.
In 1995, I brought this craft to Melbourne — becoming the first salon in the city to offer both facial threading and henna workshops for women and men of all ages. Henna has been the thread running through thirty years of this work.
